U14 Lady Rocks qualify for 2019 National Challenge!

March 27, 2019

As we come to the business end of the season, we're delighted to announce that our U14 Lady Rocks have once again qualified for the annual National Challenge competition hosted by basketballscotland!

This year the U14 Girls National Challenge will take place at the Dundee International Sports Centre on Sunday 19th May, featuring the top place U14 Girls teams from every region of Scotland.

So far, your U14 Lady Rocks have competed in the West Regional Development League this season and have maintained a stellar undefeated record! Quite a significant achievement so far given that only one player from last season's undefeated squad remained as an U14 for this season.

On Sunday 24th March your girls took part in their first of two National Challenge qualification dates, and after coming away with three strong victories, our second qualification date will determine how the Rocks are seeded for the National Challenge competition (1st, 2nd or 3rd from the West).

"I'm delighted that our girls have qualified for the 2019 National Challenge! We've repeatedly spoken to our girls about this being a 'process' this season of working hard, working smart, working often and most importantly, working as a team. If we continue to do these things to an exceptionally high level then the results will take care of themselves." - Josh Anderson, U14 Lady Rocks Head Coach
