About Lady Rocks

Lady Rocks

Lady Rocks, or as we are officially known, St Maurice's Basketball Club, were founded back in 2006 by Lisa Palombo and the late Jim Lay.  The teams were previously named St Maurice's JRW (John Robert Wooden) Gladiators, and were renamed the Lady Rocks in 2009, when we became the official female section of the BBL franchise, the Glasgow Rocks.

Lady Rocks cater for girls aged 10 through to Senior women, and play in the Scottish Basketball Championship.

Our training and fixtures are played out of St Maurice’s High School, Cumbernauld.

We also run Youth Basketball academies, known as the Gladiator Rocks.  These academies cater for both boys and girls from Age 6-12.  There are sections running in Cumbernauld and Coatbridge.
